Green means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. For some it's a trend and for others a lifestyle. For some it's a product or service and for others it's an act. A lot depends on whether the person is motivated by external forces or an internal purpose. Either way green is many things.

I spend a lot of time thinking about what green means to me--it's more than a lifestyle, it's a passion. I love to learn and write about all things green--particularly my thoughts about it so I'm glad you asked! For me, green means living my life according to a philosophy that includes the following consideration: Is it simple, healthy, clean and kind? If so, then it’s usually the better, green choice! I consider them my guidelines for better living.

So whether I’m buying, cooking, cleaning, exercising, eating, working or building and maintaining relationships, these green guidelines promote authenticity, integrity and personal growth. Life is just better green!

In an effort to share my passion and my love for GREEN living, I set up a website to encourage and promote all things green in Houston. This on-line GREEN community is for Houstonians, by Houstonians where we can go to learn, discuss, network and exchange wisdom, experiences and knowledge about anything GREEN. So whether one is looking for a green place, activity, event, recipe, green news or just access to other green Houstonians about any green topic--HoustonGreenScene.com is the place to go.

I also have a small green cleaning business—Urban Green Clean. We provide eco-friendly cleaning and recycling services for homes and offices.

Thanks for asking….and thanks for reading.

See you at HoustonGreenScene!
